Terms of service
By using Lawyer Direct you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
The service
Lawyer Direct publishes general legal information and operates a directory that lets Texans discover, compare and contact attorneys directly. We are not a law firm, we provide no legal advice, and we do not select, recommend or endorse an attorney for you.
Acceptable use
Don't submit false information, scrape the directory, impersonate an attorney, or use the service to send unsolicited marketing. We may suspend accounts or remove listings that violate these terms.
Attorney listings and memberships
Attorneys must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas and are responsible for the accuracy of their listing and for compliance with the Texas rules on attorney advertising and solicitation. Paid memberships, when enabled, renew monthly and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the current term. Paid placement never changes editorial content.
Content
Guides on this site are our property and may not be republished without permission. Attorneys grant us permission to display the profile content they submit.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lawyer Direct is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the acts, omissions, advice, or outcomes of any attorney you contact through the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the revised version.
